Asics Brand Book

This piece celebrates the Asics brand mantra “Anima Sana In Corpore Sano” — a sound mind in a sound body.

It’s the compilation of a decade of work on the account, assembling narratives and visual assets from as many campaigns, along with new product photography.

The book tells the story of Kihachiro Onitsuka, who in 1949, set out to inspire a movement among youth sports in his native Kobe, Japan. In 1977, Mr. Onitsuka introduced ASICS to the United States. His shoes were found on Olympic podiums in Tokyo, Mexico, Munich and Montreal.
